The Markham Facility is a state-of-the-art, 41,000 square foot, single-purpose datacenter building situated on 3.4 secure acres. Operated by Core, this facility is engineered to meet Uptime Tier III Standards and boasts SOC 2 Type 2 and PCI-DSS compliance, ensuring robust security and reliability. Key features include 22,000 square feet of readily available customer data center space, a highly secure industrial location with minimal security risks, and dual utility power services from separate substations, providing 8 MW today with potential growth to 16 MVA. The facility features a 17-foot clear height with a 24-inch raised floor (depressed slab for ramp-free access), an N+1 MGE UPS system with three 1100 kW units and 10-minute battery backup, and an N+1 generator system with three 1.5 MW units, supported by three days of onsite fuel at full load. Additionally, two new 2 Megawatt Generators have been ordered to further enhance power redundancy. Cooling is managed by an N+1 Liebert/Trane CRAC system, complemented by A & B power distribution, a comprehensive cable tray system, and cold aisle containment. Connectivity is ensured through a dark fiber solution extending to downtown Toronto at 151 Front Street. Fire safety is maintained by a DRY SYSTEM with Pre-action & VESDA. Security is paramount, with new CCTV, perimeter fencing, 24/7 card access, and biometric entry for clients. The facility utilizes a Tridium Controls BMS system with a new DCIM Portal, and features a secured loading dock and dedicated on-site qualified operations staff.
