Digital Realty Northern Virginia IAD24 Data Center, situated at 43830 Devin Shafron Drive, Ashburn, VA, USA, is a vast facility spanning 113,300 square feet. This impressive space includes 113,300 square feet dedicated to raised floor colocation, offering ample room for diverse data infrastructure needs. The data center is equipped with a robust 10 MW power supply, ensuring reliable and high-capacity operations. Furthermore, it boasts exceptional connectivity, with 215 other data center locations identified within a 50-mile radius. This facility holds a comprehensive array of certifications, including PCI-DSS, SOC 2, ISO 27001, ISO 90001, ISO 14001, NIST 800-53, and SOC 3, underscoring its commitment to security, quality, and operational excellence.
Situated on 98 acres in Northern Virginia’s Dulles technology corridor, the Ashburn Campus offers advanced data center solutions including both Turn-Key Data Centers and Powered Base Building (PBB) configurations. Its strategic location is just ten minutes from Washington Dulles International Airport and adjacent to a future Metro rail station, ensuring convenient access. The campus benefits from its proximity to the MAE East internet Exchange Point, providing superior connectivity and access to an extensive, pre-existing fiber optic network. The facility is a secure environment, protected by perimeter fencing, manned guard gates, berms, and hard-scaping. Each building features a single, secure main entry point, controlled by card key access and a 24/7/365 guard station. Additional security measures include comprehensive CCTV surveillance and biometric access controls. All critical systems, including HVAC, power, and building infrastructure, are continuously managed and monitored by highly trained Digital Realty personnel around the clock. The Ashburn campus is currently powered by 80 MW from the on-site Greenway Substation. The completion of the second dedicated substation, the Enterprise Substation, also located on Digital Realty’s property in early 2014, expanded the total capacity of the Digital Ashburn campus to an impressive 230MW. Power is efficiently distributed to each building through dedicated underground, concrete-encased duct banks. This robust power infrastructure is supported by one of the nation’s most reliable transmission systems, significantly reducing the risk of electrical interruptions and offering competitive rates below the national average.
