The Digital Realty Frankfurt FRA32 Data Center, situated at Wilhelm-Fay-Straße 24b, 65936 Frankfurt am Main, Germany, is a substantial facility spanning 75,000 square feet. While the gross colocation space details are not available, the data center boasts a robust power capacity of 9 MW. It is also a key hub within its region, with 87 other data center locations identified within a 50-mile radius. This location holds several important certifications, including PCI-DSS, ISO 27001, ISO 50001, ISO 90001, ISO 14001, SOC 2, and SOC 3, ensuring adherence to high standards of security, quality, and environmental management.
Located in a well-established data center hub northwest of Frankfurt, the Digital Frankfurt – Wilhelm-Fay-Straße campus comprises three state-of-the-art buildings, offering a substantial 16,700m² (179,757 sq ft) of net technical space. Each building is meticulously designed with six data suites, each spanning 1,200m² (12,916 sq ft) of net space, complemented by 5,500m² (59,201 sq ft) of ancillary areas. These auxiliary spaces include dedicated offices, de-box rooms, test rooms, and essential plant areas. The facility is situated on a generous six-acre site, providing ample flexibility for plant solutions and dedicated car parking. A robust campus power supply of 40MVA ensures a total of 27MW of delivered IT power, distributed equally among the three buildings. The three-story structures are engineered to deliver 3MW of IT power at the cabinet level, supported by a distributed redundant (DR) 4 to make 3 UPS system, evenly allocated across the two data suites on each floor. Individual buildings benefit from a concurrently maintainable medium voltage (10kV) diesel generator system. Cooling is efficiently delivered to each suite via a concurrently maintainable N+1 capacity system, which ingeniously utilizes a ‘free cooling’ pumped refrigerant system for optimal energy efficiency.
